I’ve been tagged…so probably this is a divine request to update my blog!!!!!!!
And the subject is “SIMPLE PLEASURES”
Well simple pleasures are a part of everyone’s life and I do have a share of mine.
These are the things I cherish the most.
-waking up at 10 and going to bed at 2 in the night.
-Going for a jog in osmania campus in the evening.
-traveling alone to unknown places...….I’m not familiar with most of the places in and around A.P. courtesy: my dad’s nomadic government job.
-reading INDIA TODAY….sounds odd but I wait for it every week.
-driving my way to college, bunking classes and spending n number of afternoons in front of the stationery and also in Raghavendra bakery.
-discussing and arguing about contemporary issues with my friends. The topics vary from Anna Kournikova to Atal Bihari Vajpayee (I gave this example just for the feel ...Though both of them are outdated…the former remains even more sexy….and the latter …..Slower than ever).
-spending evenings at kushal’s place cracking XXX jokes on bharath and arvind.
-a stroll into the humanities and sciences block and involving in a chat about the college and the related politics with savithri madam (I love this a lot!!!)
-I enjoy almost everthing about Saurav Ganguly.
-pulling pavani’s leg, reddi’s leg(obviously about his girl friend),teasing kushal about his curves, tamil divya about her hobby(all the mechies know what it is),and ramya… about ..Almost everything in this world.
-I enjoy speaking to my school chums-ramya,divya,maruthi,bindu and bindaaas pavan.
-I enjoy eating “cutlet” at the “bandi” in street no 6, vidya nagar, along with sahan and also grilled chicken in trimulgherry…the very thought is so mouth watering….huh!!!
-I enjoy watching “walk the talk”…I admire Shekhar Gupta a lot.
-visiting old friends…….from kurnool specially.
-learning new things..rather knowing new things...general knowledge…which is generally of no use!!!
-and lastly I enjoy gossip a lot!
These are few extracts from a big list……….
Well people I’ll come up with a better post… next time…...waiting for ur comments!!lol11!

my KAAL experience!!!!!!!!!!
ADVENTURE IN THE DARK
It was 24th February, it was the day when "STRINGS" had come to perform live in Hyderabad. Being great fans of the Pakistani band, my friends and i were naturally excited. My friends who received their much awaited Gold Medals were upbeat and in high spirits.
We were already late and decided to take the shortcut through ANGRAU. Venkat, my friend who acted as the navigator was not confident of the route and it being night, we got lost. By then we had traveled a good distance on NH-7.The day before 24th,I watched the DVD of the movie KAAL and started relating the events with those in that movie. This marked the beginning of the KAAL episode.
After realizing that we were on the wrong route, my friend Anirudh, assuming it to be a "gap in the median" took a turn which landed the car on the divider. We don’t know what made him take that turn but he had all our hearts in our mouths. My imagination was flying and I started predicting something adventurous. We retreated and found the ANGRAU gate and had to tip the guard to enter it. I kept on reminding my friends about the events in the movie and that many such events were awaiting us.
Venkat who supposedly knows the route kept on guiding us in all directions possible and after 15 minutes we ended up at a check post which had lights but no guards. Our mobile phones which were constantly ringing till then, with calls from friends awaiting us outside the venue went dumb. Unlike in the movie, where the protagonists come across a black cat, we sped past a white one.I was quick at noticing it and relating it.
We were entirely lost in the varsity and after sometime entered an area which had no lights. With no connectivity on our mobiles ,i felt that we were in the middle of some jungle. My friends Aditya, Shailey and Sushmita who were not so familiar with the topography predicted it to be Shamshabad jungle or Vikarabad forest! The calm atmosphere was very scary and from somewhere in the dark emerged a\n cop yelling at us. He informed us that we were not supposed to enter that area.I related it to the scene where the actors are denied entry into the "core area"!!

The cop directed us onto the correct route. We travelled over kaccha roads, pucca roads, uninhabited checkposts, deserted houses and finally ended up at Osman Sagar. The drive over Himayathsagar was the most adventurous. It was real scary when the head lights went off on a road which was not lit.Though it was intentional,it added to the mood and scared me and my friends who were already bugged by my KAAL references.
After a thrilling drive which spanned just over an hour we reached the venue.Though it was not the best of the shows, the Pakistani element, the songs on INDO-PAK friendship made it special.
On our way back, after having dinner at a dhaba,we were stopped by cops and were asked to pen dowm our details!!!!!Then late in the night we reached Aditya's house just to find Venkat's bike keys missing.
So much of action in a single night.......i will never forget this eventful day...all in all it was the most adventurous day in my life...not to forget the KAAL episode!!!
